A brand's identity comes through its logo or colors, but also through what it makes you hear.

My name is Ianis Mauraisin and I design visual and sound identities, combining design, branding, user experience, and sound design.

This ranges from the logo and graphic charter to the complete sound universe.

The goal? A strong, original, and coherent identity that stands out across all media.

Services

Creation of logos, typographies, and color palettes designed as the authentic reflection of a brand's story and its audiences.

Each project starts with thorough scoping, followed by a creative proposal phase, then refinements and finalization. Here's an example methodology:

  • Project scoping: Exchange meeting, onboarding session, and concise meeting notes with project roadmap creation
  • Creative proposals: Creative and sector research phase, development of 2-3 creative directions each including a concept, moodboard, and visual research board
  • Refinement: Logo enrichment and rework, typography pairing proposals, color palette adjustments
  • Finalization: Creation of the complete graphic charter grouping all visual identity codes and uses

Design of distinctive sound universes: signature, sound world, and adaptations for each medium (video branding, interface sounds…)

Building on discussions and insights from the previous step, or starting a new creative brief phase, each project follows a custom methodology, just like visual identity. Here's an example:

  • Brief and scoping: Exchange meeting, needs and concept definition, meeting notes and roadmap
  • Creative proposals: Creation of 3 sound identity projects from 30s to 1min, available online for listening and feedback
  • Development: Rework of the selected track, one adjustment iteration, adaptations to required formats
  • Finalization: Mixing and optimization, delivery of definitive formats adapted to each medium

Depending on projects, creation of web page mockups or main screens for web/mobile applications, designed in coherence with the visual identity and adapted to real usage and user journeys.

To support you in using and integrating the created visual and sound elements, a usage guideline can also be delivered to anticipate future needs.

Bio

With 18 years of experience in creating brand sonic identities and sound experiences within the agency Sixième Son (Renault, SNCF, Etihad, Carrefour, AXA...) and Ircam amplify (Musée de la Marine, Michelin, L'Oréal...), my expertise extends to digital communication, media and event projects, where I strive to create unique and memorable sound universes, drawing on my practice of cello, bass and all computer music tools.

I also design functional sounds, applying UX principles to the sound domain to improve interfaces, applications and connected objects.

I trained in parallel in graphic design and Front-end Web development, which I also practiced at Ircam amplify, which allows me to create impactful visual identities, graphic charters, and to adapt them by designing mockups or immersive and interactive web experiences, while relying on my experience in brand communication and support across different touchpoints.

My approach combines sound and visual creativity, and a deep understanding of brand needs, allowing me to create consistent and original universes.
